Identifying a hormone imbalance
The female body produces many different hormones, but certain types have a bigger role to play in the body's health and well-being. When your hormones are in proper balance they help the body thrive, but small problems with hormones can cause serious and life-altering symptoms. Specifically imbalances of sex hormones, thyroid hormones and adrenal hormones, as well as insulin resistance are common problems that can contribute to a host of chronic health issues. *Note this test is not suitable if you are taking oral contraceptives.

### Identifying a hormone imbalance The female body produces many different hormones, but certain types have a bigger role to play in the body's health and well-being.
- TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone)
- TSH is produced by the pituitary gland and regulates thyroid hormone production. High levels may indicate hypothyroidism, while low levels may indicate hyperthyroidism.
- Free T4
- Free T4 is the active form of thyroid hormone. It regulates metabolism, energy production, and body temperature.
- Free T3
- Free T3 is the most active thyroid hormone. It's converted from T4 and directly affects cellular metabolism.
- Reverse T3
- Reverse T3 is an inactive form of T3. Elevated levels may indicate stress, illness, or impaired thyroid hormone conversion.
- Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPO)
- TPO antibodies are markers for autoimmune thyroid disease, particularly Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
- Thyroglobulin Antibodies
- Thyroglobulin antibodies are markers for autoimmune thyroid disease and can help diagnose Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
