Pathology panel required for the Metabolic Balance personalised nutrition analysis. This comprehensive panel assesses metabolic function, nutrient status, and health markers to create a personalised nutrition plan.
What we measure
METABOLIC MARKERS
Assessment of how your body processes nutrients and manages energy.
- Glucose (Fasting)
- Blood sugar levels after fasting, indicating how well your body manages carbohydrates.
- Insulin (Fasting)
- Hormone that regulates blood sugar. High levels indicate insulin resistance.
- HbA1c
- Long-term average blood sugar, indicating diabetes risk.
- HOMA-IR
- Calculated measure of insulin resistance.
LIPID PROFILE
Assessment of cholesterol and fat metabolism.
- Total Cholesterol
- Overall cholesterol levels in the blood.
- LDL Cholesterol
- Low-density lipoprotein, often called 'bad' cholesterol.
- HDL Cholesterol
- High-density lipoprotein, often called 'good' cholesterol.
- Triglycerides
- Fat molecules in the blood, elevated levels increase heart disease risk.
LIVER FUNCTION
Assessment of liver health and metabolic processing.
- ALT
- Alanine aminotransferase, liver enzyme indicating liver health.
- AST
- Aspartate aminotransferase, liver enzyme for liver function.
- GGT
- Gamma-glutamyl transferase, liver enzyme often elevated with alcohol use.
- Bilirubin
- Liver function and bile production marker.
KIDNEY FUNCTION
Assessment of kidney health and waste clearance.
- Creatinine
- Waste product from muscle metabolism, indicating kidney function.
- Urea
- Waste product from protein metabolism.
- eGFR
- Estimated glomerular filtration rate, best indicator of kidney function.
NUTRITIONAL STATUS
Assessment of essential vitamins and minerals.
- Vitamin D (25-OH)
- Essential for bone health, immune function, and metabolism.
- Vitamin B12
- Critical for nerve function and red blood cell formation.
- Folate
- Essential for DNA synthesis and cell division.
- Iron (Ferritin)
- Stored iron, important for oxygen transport.
- Magnesium
- Involved in 300+ enzymatic reactions.
THYROID FUNCTION
Assessment of thyroid hormone production affecting metabolism.
- TSH
- Thyroid stimulating hormone, regulates thyroid function.
- Free T4
- Active thyroid hormone affecting metabolic rate.
- Free T3
- Most active thyroid hormone, directly affects metabolism.
INFLAMMATION MARKERS
Assessment of systemic inflammation affecting metabolic health.
- hs-CRP
- High-sensitivity C-reactive protein, marker of inflammation.
- Homocysteine
- Cardiovascular and metabolic risk marker.
BLOOD COUNT
Complete blood count assessing overall health.
- Hemoglobin
- Oxygen-carrying protein in red blood cells.
- Hematocrit
- Percentage of red blood cells in blood.
- White Blood Cells
- Immune cells fighting infection.
- Platelets
- Cells involved in blood clotting.
